Prospective PhD Students

Research projects are negotiable with interested students but should be in the general area(s) of:

I am seeking to supervise PhD students - contingent on the applicant's successful securing of suitable funding to support their research. There are a number of avenues for securing PhD funding including the Irish Research Council's Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme (link to call), UCD School of Computer Science's PhD Scholarship Programme (link to 2023 call). The deadlines for application for both of these scholarships are late/October early November. The funding available is similar from both of these avenues - a tax-free stipend of approximately €18,000 per annum alongside payment of the PhD registration fees at the EU applicant UCD fee level and a sufficient budget for equipment, travel and publishing costs.

(Grades represent UCD GPA out of a maximum of 4.2)
